Because of the war, -the Australian and New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Unions have decided to abandon the annual match for the Tasman Cup, which was to be played at Christchurch on October 11. The New Zealand’ Council has also decided to cancel the New Zealand championship tournament, to have been held at Christchurch from October 5-13. BOXING The West Coast amateur boxers, T. Hoggarth, W. Clark, and C. Marsh, who will compete at the New Zealand championships at Invercargill next week, -will leave for Invercargill tomorrow. They will be accompanied by Messrs C. Neville (manager) and J.
