NEW YORK, June 20.
A message from Grand Beach says: Braddock had four fast rounds with two sparring partners. It was his final hard work-out before the title bout. The defence and speed of the champion’s hands, and his foot work, were impressive. His punches were shorter and sharper than in any previous work-out.
Braddock said: “I’m in great shape. I feel better than I have done for years. It is just another fight to me. Louis is no better than others I have faced. A light work-out on Sunday will complete my training.” Louis shadow-boxed one round. Then he had four rounds with two Negro sparring partners, who used Braddock’s style. The challenger is in fine physical condition. He appeared not to be worried, but he had great difficulty A in avoiding the sfcarrers’ punches. At least six times they landed hard rights to the jaw. Lottis will have his final work-out on Sunday. Ho will leave for Chicago.on Tuesday.
