INFANTILE PARALYSIS
MORE SOUTHLAND CASES [PEB PBESB ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, February 26. Two cases of infantile paralysis were admitted to the Southland Hospital this morning from the city. One is a young man, and the other a girl, aged two. - Both are positive qases, and are both definitely paralysed. A girl, aged three, who was admitted as a suspected case last evening, has not yet been diagnosed as a definite case. A patient from Waihoaka, who was admitted some time ago, has returned home, slightly paralysed in one leg. AT WAIMATE CHRISTCHURCH, February 26. Two further positive cases of infantile paralysis, both from the Waimate County, were notified to the District Medical Officer of Health, Dr. T. Fletcher Telford, to-day. Both patients are girls, and are aged 18 months and eight years respectively. WAIMATE, February 26. The secretary of the Waimate High School Board, Mr. S. Grut, has been advised by the Director of Education that the school is not to open until further notice: —possibly March 8. The primary school committee has received similar notice. ' s
