At Forest Hills rain halted the second round of the men’s singles championship to-day, with only seven of the thirty-two matches completed. Menzel was leading Roland Longten (Montreal) 2-6, 11-9, 6-3, when play halted. Wood,' Mangin, Lott and Parker were well advanced.
