New South Wales to-day* defeated Victoria by five matches to nil in the Australian Golf Association’s Championship meeting. The play was in drenching rain. Miss J. Hammond beat Miss Susie Tolhurst, one up; Mrs T. McKay beat Miss McLeod, three and one; Mrs Goodall beat Miss Lascelles, three and two; Miss V. Ebert beat Miss Bailey," six and five; Mrs Robinson beat Miss Millar, three and one. TASMAN CUP. (Recd. September 4, Noon). SYDNEY, September 4. The following team has been selected to represent Australia in New Zealand for the Tasman Cup:— Misp L. Wray (New South Wales), (captain), Miss Joan Hammond (New South Wales), Miss Mona MacLeod (Victoria), Miss Shirley Tolhurst (Victoria). The fifth member of the ■team, will be announced later. Miss R. Austen (Victoria) is a non-playing manager.
