.SMASH AND GRAB THEFT \ [BY CABLE-PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] . SYDNEY, November 9. An audacious robbery occurred at noon at a leading jeweller’s in George Street. Two young men broke h plateglass window with a brick, and stole a twenty-three-stone diamond bracelet. The thieves attempted to escape by mingling with the shopping crowds, but dne was captured. The other escaped, and he was the one with the bracelet, which constituted the first prize, -valued at one thousand pounds at a forthcoming hospital art union.
