RIFLE SHOOTING
GREY DEFENCE CLUB
The fourth competition for Patron F. Badger’s trophies was concluded on Saturday last and resulted in poor shooting. The marksman had to contend .with a strong south-east wind, the Wednesday men faring the worst. Riflleman C. Richardson and J. McKay were top scorers with 90. The following were the scores; conditions were 11 shots at 300 yards and 10 shots at 700 yards.
The following are the handicaps for the fifth competition conditions, 11 shots at 600yds: Rifleman C. Richardson, S. Sharman, G. Richardson scr„ N. W. Wilkie, W. Garth 3; F. Sotheran 4; T. Garth, P. Blanchfield, L. Morressey 5; J. McKay, H. Higgins, G. Roberts, G. Joyce, W. Prendergast C; G. Anderson 9; M. Garth 10; M. O’Grady 20. The following are leading with two shoots to'go: Rifleman G. Richardson 104—95—92, 291; T. Garth 98—98—93, 289; S. Sharman 100—98—90, 288; Fi Sotheran 93—92—100, 285.
