Middlesex against Sussex in the first innings made 195 (Enthoven 63), Tate taking 5 for 40; and in the second 339 declared (Twening not out 1.21, Hendren 51, and Bettington 95). Sussex in the first made 207, Bettington taking 4 for 87, and Hearne 5 for 40; and. in the second 215 (Bowley 94), Bettington taking 6 for 78. Middlesex won by 112 runs. AVorcestershire made 211 against Essex (Tarbox 55), and in the second 232, Nichols taking 6 for 64. Essex in the first made 436 for 9 (Gutmore 61, O’Connor 82, Russell 135, Douglafe 68), Tarbox taking 7 for 114; and in the second 8 for 0. Essex won by ten wickets.

West Indies in the first made 257 (Fernandes 73, Neblett 61) and in the second 40 for 1. West Indies won by nine wickets. For Derbyshire against Warwickshire, Hutchison made 111, and Richardson not out seventy. For Warwick Wyatt made 104, Santali 84, Smith 82, and Kilner 65. Warwick won. For Hampshire against Gloucestershire Maud made 110. Boyes took 4 for 51. For Gloucestershire B. Lyon made 79, and Hammond took 5 for 40, ami Sinfield 5 for 62. Gloucesterwon.

For Northamptonshire against Leicestershire, Jupp made 74. and Thomas took 4 for 61. For Leicester Dawsou made 130, and Asrill took 5 for 16. Leicester won.
