— « —■ REEFTON PROPERTY INVOLVED. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. A case involving a large sum, and transactions in regard to sawmilling at Reefton, was heard in the Supreme Court by Justice Adams. Plaintiffs were Packers and Jones, Ltd., Christchurch, timber merchants, and defendant was William James Morris, Reefton, sawmiller. The case came up in the form of motions for orders by the Court. The main items in. dispute arose in consequence of plaintiff company going into possession of defendant’s mortgaged properties, as mortgagee in possession, on account of defendant’s alleged failure to observe the provisions of the mortgage. The claim by plaintiff was for £5152. It was alleged by plaintiff that defendant had defaulted in payment of principal and interest under the mortgage.
