A QUEER STORY (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Marph 6. A curious sequel to the disappearance of Admiralty documents, cabled yesterday, js reported from Southport. .A man about thirty-five years of age, of smart appearance, engaged a room •in a hotel, opening a consulate. He wished to engage girl typists, and he interviewed several. He selected two, -whom he asked to deposit £25. They declined to do this. The stranger thereafter departed, leaving his luggage, which the Daily Express states has been identified as having been stolen from the Admiralty on February 8. A Southport engineer says that the stranger attempted to sell him a drawing relating to a crankless engine adaptable to motor cars. \ Meantime the Admiralty say that the documents reported as lost yesterday mornings have been z found where a clerk had placed thejn in safe keeping.
