THE COMPETITIONS

Entries for the 1620 festival of the West Coast Competitions Society 'close with: the Secretary, Box 97, Greymouth, on Saturday next, August 14th. The programme is very wide and varied, including as it does, vocal and instrumental items, elocution items, speeches, debates, dancing and literary classes. This year the festival will last a full week, from September 6th to 13pi.’ There has been a record sale of Books of Words tins year, and there is every indication of a very large entry.
