EDUCATION BOARD

VISIT OF INSPECTION. (Special to Star.) WESTPORT, Tliis Day. Members of the Education Board arrived here on Saturday last. During their stay they have visited the various schools in the Denniston, Millerton, Karamea, and Westport districts, and discussed educational matters with the committees. The Board held its monthly meeting last evening, and'the following- business- was transacted: Deputations were received from the Westport School Committee, who welcomed the Board to their district, and thanked the Board

for their efforts made regarding the erection of a technical high school, expressing, the hope that tenders would he invited immediately. The Chairman, replying, stated that he hoped that plans and specifications would he advanced sufficiently to admit of tire calling of tenders by the next meeting of the Board.
