BOXING.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Being a resident of the country and keenly interested in the forthcoming boxing match, might I make a suggestion through your columns to the Committee of the Boxing Association. As the "star" item in recent tournaments has "come on" after 9 o'clock patrons from the country districts have either to stop the week-end in Greymouth, or are put to the expense of motor-car hire. Now, Sir, lam sure the above Committee could easily arrange for the Goodman —O'Neill bout to come on first, and with a punctual start this would enable Dunollie, Blackball and Hokitika line fans to witness the main contest and at the same time catch the late train home. If those responsible for the arrangements can see their way clear to my suggestion, I feel confident they will be rewarded by every male resident in Blackball, Dunoliie and along the Hokitika line attending at the Town Hall to witness what should prove the best contest with the gloves yet witness on the the West Coast. I am, etc.,
A COUNTRY RESIDENT
