PERSONAL NOTES.

Mr Mason, a*member of the Blackball Silver Band, has been admitted to Csj Grey River Hospital with enteric fever. Commandant jcuttlmoie, of the Salvation Army, Christchurch, is visiting Greymouth and the Coast, in comiectiin with the Army’s work. There is a lot of sickness in Blackball, and one of the victims is Mr J. Sneddon, chief of the Caledonian Society, and his friends wish him a speedy recovery. Rev. Father Long, Christchurch, who has been visiting Ahaura, Hokitika and Greymouth, returned by the Otira express this morning. During Ins stay on the Coast his health has greatly improved. Mr G. L. Douglas Macaul, representing the Fisk Jubilee singers, is at present in Greymouth, arranging for a concert'season here at the end of the month. Miss Belle Gibbons and Professor White, two of the original members, are with the present company. The Fisks appeared in Greymouth about nine years ago. Private W. Fletcher, who has been oft leave from Trentham military comp, returns on Tuesday morning. On Monday evening he will he fai’ewelled by the members of the Greymouth Bowling Club.
