The Prime Minister, discussing the seriousness of strides in war time, suggested the selling up of an industrial War Council, composed of Federal and Slate .Ministers and representatives of the Chamber of Manufacturers and the Trades Hall Council, to effectively deal with industrial troubles.
Mr Hagellhorn, speaking at the Australian Natives' Association luncheon, said that a mandate must be obtained from the people to intern men, whether employers or employees, causing the dislocation of the industrial machinery durin<»; Jie Avar; General McCay appealed on liehalf of the soldiers, saying: "Whatever differences and difficulties ovist, for God's sake let them stand over (ill the war has ceased."
