HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

A meeting of tiic above board was held yesterday. Present: —Messrs Janies Hargreaves (cliair), Marshall, Alison, Larkin, B. Hart. James Kerr, Larkin, Kyall, liar ris and Russell. Relief to a destitute family at C'obden was, on the motion of the Chairman, continued for the present. An application from the Trustees of the Dunedin Hospital for the payment of £39 16s for the treatment at a Groymouth patient was granted. An applicant for relief —a widow with a practical :lv grown-up family, was refused assistance, as it was ascertained that the earnings of the family exceeded £9 per month. Several applications for relief were considered and dealt with.

The balance-sheet for the rear ending 31st March, 1906, was submitted by the Secretary and ordered to lay on the table, as was also a statement of receipts and liabilities for the ensuing year as follows: ESTIMATED EXPENDITURE.
