I last saw bim on Sundae morning between 10 and 11 o clock. He was then outside his house feeding his fowls. I didn’t speak to him, as I was 40 or 50 yards away. He appeared to bo in his usual state. Constable Ryan gave evidence of having received information on Monday night about 8.30 of the finding of deceased dead in his house at the Rangariri. Ho went out on the following morning and had the body conveyed to town. He had known docensed the last three or four years. He was an old age pensioner living by himself.
