A narrow esea.pe from drowning was exi>erienced by Master Lex Macdonald. tlie well-known boy soprano, at St. Clair yesterday afternoon. Master Macdonald was swimming in the surf when iteople on tlie beach saw that lie had been caught by the undertow and swept away. Jit. Ivan Turnbull went out. immediately and succeeded in reaching the bov an 1 bolding him uj> until the Surf Club team took out a line. Mr. Turnbull already holds the Humane Society award for rescuing a nurse at St. Clair two years ago.
