AORANGI BRIDGE.
RECONSTRUCTION AN EARLY NECESSITY. It was stated yesterday by Cry A Campbell at the meeting of the Ofotia County Council that before very long the Aorangi bridge would need reconstructing, and in the discussion following this remark, 'iie Council intimated tliat it was of opinion the cost of any work undertaken should be borne by the local bodies affected on a more prport innate basis than the cost of similar public works had been shared in the. past. . It was decided to approach the District Council of the Main Highways Board in the matter, both with the view of having the work considered and Die re-ajloeatiou of the cost oi construction and maintenance.
