The Daily Chronicle, commenting on the message from Hongkong reporting the gallantry of Warrant Shipwright Robert Cargin, of the cruiser Brisbane, and Scoutmaster Hugh Braga, in rescuing a Chinese girl, aged lb, from collapsed houses;, says the Brisbane is the cruiser whose recall some Australian politicians have demanded on the ground that Australian ships had no business to ho demonstrating in Chinese waters at a Lime of politcal upheaval.
