The lull story of the murder of the Jute Czar of Russia and his family at Ekatcrinaburg is graphically told in a book written by Nicholas Sokol off, just published in Paris. Sokoloff, who was sent to to Ekaterinburg by Admiral Koltchak to investigate murders, says that he definitely ascertained that they were committed on the. night of July 1C or 17, 1018. ' The Czar, the Czarina, their children, a medical attendant, and three servant# were awakened at 4 o’clock in the morning and brought before the Bolshevik commander, Youruoski. After reading a document, he turned to the Czar, and said: “Your life has ended!” The Czar began questioning the commander, whilst the Czarini aud her daughters made the sign of the Cross. Without further explanation, Youruoski drew a revolver and shot the Czar dead. Some Lettish soldiers wlm were present immediately fired at the remaining victims, killing them all. The Czarina’s woman servant tried to shield her royal mistress with a cushion, in which several bullets were afterwards found.
