The campaign of the Nationalist People’s Party, Lo which the majority of vhd Junkers belong, provides for the restoration of the monarchy, and the tearing up of the Versailles Treaty. The manifesto declares: “We favour tearing to shreds a the lying theory of Germany’s war guilt, and the breaking away from the dicta torship imposed hv the Versailles Treaty. We will safeguard German honour and dignity and the training of our youth to hear arms. . The Rhine is Germany’s river, not Germany’s frontier, and German self-determina-tion must he one people, one empire, one Emperor.” Other items on the programme are the abolition of tyranny of Parliament, loyalty to the old German flag, and the suppression of Marxists and Jews.
