THE EX-KAISER

Tho Daily Chronicle's correspondent states that the ex-Kaiser's book is completed, and parts have been shown foreign buyers. The ex-Kaiser is standing out for one million dollars for the foreign rights and is practically certain to get this, which is equal to three hundred million marks or four times what he has thus far received from Germany since the revolution. The Kaiser had literary help and appealed to friends, including Hindenberg, for details of his story. Generally, it is guarded, but augumentative and provocative regarding some happenings during the war. The manuscript, has been in existence some time, but the Kaiser, who hoped to return to Germany, onlv determined on publication when it was plain that a return to Germany was impossible. Tho Daily Chronicle suggests .the title should bo "Apologia Pro Bello Suo.
