The Financial News publishes an article by a colonial importer, declaring that after the New Zealand Dairy Produce Poolhas tjiade use of existing channels of distribution long chough to give them an elementary knowledge of marketing and distributing, it will appoint its own agents in the United Kingdom, thus eliminating all private firms and thereby confiscating businesses built up by millions of capital in the past halfcentury. The writer says the assurance given by supporters of the pool that it is intended to distribute all produce through existing channels is valueless, as the proposed company to finance a,nd conduct the pool is not yet formed, therefore , nobody has power or authority to give such as- . surance. "WOULD DIVERT BUYERS." London, May 20. A meeting of the Scottish Provision Trade Association of Glasgow discussed the New Zealand Dairy Pool, and decided it would be injurious to the dairy industry, and would lead to the loss of good will towards New Zealand produce and tho dh'ersion of buying to other sources of supply.
