THE KING'S UNIFORM.
At tho Plico Court in Palmerston yesterday, befoi'o Messrs T. R. Hodder and F. Aishor, J.P.s, a man named Georgo Edward Hanson was charged with illegally wearing the King's uniform, when not a member of his Majesty's Forces. The Defence authorities gave evidence that defendant was warned two days previous to his arrest that ho was committing an offence by wearing tho uniform. Hanson had no right to wear it. Sergeant Henry handed in a long list of previous convictions. Th Bench said defends tit's bad record would havo to bo taken into account. His list showed that ho had been guilty of all sorts of offences, including using a uniform for illogal purposes. Defendant would be sentenced to one month's imprisonment. Defendant: No option of a fine, sir? The Bench: No.
