MOVING THE BATTERIES.
The activity of our artillery at the front is emphasised by Gunner W. FCotter, R.G.A., in a letter to a friend in Sydney: "We havo been kept busy moving of late. Moving a battery is anything but an easy job, especially in the weather we have been having out here during the past few weeks. The roads are absolutely covred with mud. I havo been washed out of my little dug-out twice this last fortnight, but I get used to that, and might Inworse off. Owing to the weather conditions there is not much doing in the way of advancing, but the artillery is active, and docs not give Fritz any chance of settling down and making himself comfortable. Of course, th 0 Germans throw their shells about also, but not to the same extent as Wo do."
