■in Dui'lin, December 21. ihe Diet of Maekleiiburg has rejected tho tax proposed to be imposea cm bachelors. This tax provided that bachelors not liable to provide tor relatives should pay taxes amounting to 25 per cent, above those imposed on husbands.
