Hooligans were chiefly responsible for the. disorder. GENERAL LOCK-OUT OF WEAVERS FEARED. A campaign in tho Lancashire cotton area against non-unionists culminated in a strike of weavers at one of tho Accrington mills. The masters _in North and North-east Lancashire aro to meet to decide the courso of action. A general lock-out of 100,000 is fearea. WHAT A BALLOT OF MINERS MAY MEAN. The conference of miners resolved to hold a ballot on January 10, and if a two-thirds majority "of members favour a strike, work will be stopped at the end of February.
