CANADIAN TRADE.

Imports increased largely, but exports decreased slightly. The total trade- with the United States was over 50 million dollars, showing an increase. A PATHETIC TRAGEDY. New York, December 14. On guests assembling to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the marriage ( of Bernard Kotch, aged 67, they ' found the husband and wife dead. Kotch had died of heart disease, and his wife had been killed by tho shock. MORE MAGNIFICENT SCENES IN INDIA. Delhi, December 14. A crowd of 7000 persons attended
the Royal garden party. Their Majesties appeared on a screened balcony, formerly used by the Mogul Emperors. They afterwards sat on. golden thrones, clothed in their Coronation robes. Crowds clambered upon tho parapets of the fort. It is estimated that a million defiled to the right and left before tiheir Majesties, cheering as .they went. They bore banners indicating the vari_ ous districts._ Below the throne satj the TJlemas and. Pundits. A poet recited a Persian ode of welcome. Wild dances and displays of horsemanship followed. Their Majesties remained for 40 minutes. Thousands of Indians afterwards kissed the thrones. At night there was a fireworks display and brilliant illuminations.
