CHELTENHAM.
A SUCCESSFUL CONCERT.
The concert on "Wednesday evening was, as indicated in yesterday's Stak. a pronounced success. The Public Hall was crowded. Mr Guthrie, who had acted as judge at the Show during the clay, presided at the concert. The programme was divided into parts —the first carried oxit by the school children, consisting of recitations and songe. One entitled "Mamma's Mistake," by Edith Sowerby, was particularly well received. A little dialogue from _ Uncle Tom's Cam'n by Nellie Sinclair, Mary Hare, and Grace Beadnall was nicely done. The items in 'the second part were of a high class. Tho instrumental part was played by Mrs. Fisher, the Misses Smith. Miss Davies, Miss Younger, and Mr Edge. Other musicians who took part were Mrs Murray and Mr Fisher, who sang a duet, Mies May Mille, Messrs Delaney. Curtayne, Wallace, Corpe, Aiken, Cummins, Adams. Verry, Jas. Mills, Hills. A splendid little comedietta, "No Followers Allowed" (Cornish), ■nerformed by Miss Stewart, Messrs Grice, Phyn, and Corpe brought to a close a very successful evening.
