WEDDINGS.

HUMPHREY- WALDIN. A very pretty wedding took place in the Primitive Methodist Church, Colyton, on Wednesday, when Miss Bertha Waldin was maimed to Mr A. U. Humphrey before a largo congregation of relatives and friends. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. (Jr. Budd (Presbyterian). The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a white empire dress of Japanese silk, trimmed with chiffon lace and insertion with French knots. Her vedl, of soft embroidered tulle, 'felfl over a half coronetb of orange blossoms, and a spray of orange blossom was worn on her corsage. A pretty shower bouquet completed her costume. She was attended by her sister, Jfilizabeth, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in creme de laLne, trimmed with yacht insertion and green ribbon toills, with white hat trimmed with glace silk and ostrich feathers, and she carried a shower bouquet, and wore a gold brooch, the glift of tho bridegroom. Tho bridegroom was attended by Air D. Reid, cousin of the bride, as best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a goild neck-chain and pendant. The bride's present to tho bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links. The ceremony over, a reception was held -t the residence of the bride's parents, "Ngapuhi," Colyton, where about eighty relatives and friends assembled. The usual toasts were proposed ami responded to. The happy couple left by tho 5.30 train for Wanganui en route for New Plymouth, where tho honeymoon will bo spent. The bride's travelling dress was a na-vy blue tailor-made costume and blue glace silk- hat trimmed with ostrich feathers. Tho presents, which were very numerous, showed the esteem of a largo circlo of friends. WHALE— THO W. At the residenoo of the bride's parents, Denbigh-street, yesterday, Mr Olias. H. Whale, of Greatford, was married to Miss Margaret M. Thow, second daughter of Mr G. Tliow. Miss J. M. f how, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and Mr H. Kilgour, Kiwi tea, as best man. The bride was married in her travel-long dress, which was a navy blue Eton costume. The united couple afterwards left for Wellington on the honeymoon trip. A large collection of useful and valuable presents was received.
