SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

Innes Jones. The head teacher at the Lytton Street School, Mr Wylie, reported that the average attendance at his school for the post month was 111*7. It was decided to apply to the Government for a banner for the flagstaff presented by Mr Bartholomew to the Lytton Street School. The chairman pointed out that notwithstanding the promise of the Education Board, Pupil Teacher Gould, of Palmerston N., had not been transferred to the Lytton Street School, and in consequence that school was under a disadvantage. It was resolved to again approach the Board on the subject. After considering the report to be presented at the meeting of householders on the 28th inst., the committee adjourned.
