THE STOCK MARKET. Messrs Lowes and lorus report of their Mastcrtou stock sale on 22nd Nov : — Sheep entries were limited to shorn ewes and hoggets; Best hoggets, a prime good lot, making Ils9d, others 8s 9d to 9s. Ewes failed to reach owner's reserves. In beef some good quality in ox and cow offered, all these selling, bullocks, I'd 10 ; prime cows, ££ 10s; others ranging from ±'4 down to 70s ; heifers, 62s 6d to 655. In store cattle we had a full yarding with plenty of competition, every pen being sold, store bullocks making 92s Gd ; 2 to 3 yr-steers, 76s ; younger steers, according to class, Gss, 555, 50s ; yearlings 45s ; calves, 38s to 255 ; Ito 2-year heifers, 45s to 50s ; breeding cows 45s to 46s ; | dairy cows and heifers were varied, ! ranging according to age and quality from 40s to 80s.
