Christchurch Wool Sales.

Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright ,- Christ-church, November 23. The first wool sale of the season's series took place to-day, when between 8000 and 9000 bales were offered. There was a large attendance of local and Home buyers. The wool is in much belter condition than last year, being cleaner and brighter, but light in grease There was a' spirited competition for Merinos and half-bred wools, the former showing an advance of 4d to 5d per lb, and the latter 3d to 4d per lb over last season's prices, Conse wools were about £d to Id better. Greasy half-bred sold up to ll^d, and one lot to 12i{<l. , Merino to Is, and fine crois-bred to- lOd. . The sale during the forenoon was very~Buccessful, only a few bales being passed.
