(Per i J ress Association.} London, May 7. A public meeting in London, which was largely attended, carried a resolution calling upon Government to interfere in the Armenian difficulty. Mr Gladstone, in a vigorous letter, states that Turkey is apparently resolved to procure her own rum. lie hoped that England alone or jointly with the Great Powers would use force if necessary to prevent a repetition of deeds of shame. May 8. The Times says that practical relief m connection with the atrocities in Armenia is difficult. The article suggests that a Governor should bo approved by the Great Powers and allowed a free hand in administration, but at the ■same time lie should be watched by resident commissioners appointed by the Powers.
