WOMEN’S DIVISION

TE KOHANGA BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of To Kohanga branch of tlie Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held recently when a fair number of members were present. In Hie absence of the president (Mr H. M. Frost) the vice-pre-sident (Mrs F. Hagan) presided. After routine business had been IransacLed much interest was evinced in the various competitions, the results being: Best bloom. Miss R. Lawson; points competition, Victorian posy, Miss Joyce Parry 1, Mrs McGowan 2. Mrs McGowan gave a most interesting talk on her travels in Singapore. A dainty afternoon tea served by the hostesses, Mesdames Clive Massey and E. Lapwood, greatly enhanced proceedings.
