CHURCH AFFAIRS.

PAPAKURA METHODISTS. AN EFFICIENT CHOIR. Last Sunday inspiring services were conducted in the Methodist church by Mr .T. Beams in the morning and Rev. G. Frost in the evening. Mr Frost preached to a good congregation in the evening and visitors made very appreciative reference to the numerical strength and also efficiency of the choir. The Rev. W. Parker preached in the Otahuhu circuit at 2 p.rn. and conducted the Ilomai aniversary in the evening. On Sunday the Homai Sunday school anniversary services were held. The preachers were: 11 a.m., Rev. Thompson ;3 p.m., Rev. Woolexall; 7 p.m.. Rev. W. Parker. Mr Tyndman, secretary of the hall, stated, that in the seven years that the hall had been built, the anniversary was a record one in the nature of the messages, the size of the congregations, and also the collections The scholars were trained by Mr Sanderson. Wedding at Manurewa.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Manurewa on Saturday, when Mr James Williams and Miss Wootlen were married. The Rev. Parker was the officiating minister. The wedding breakfast was held at the bridegroom’s home, where the usual toasts were honoured.
