OUTER SUBURBAN COMPETITIONS. PAPAKURA CLUB’S DRAW. The Auckland Lawn Tennis Associations outer-suburban inter-club competitions commence on Saturday, and the following is the season’s draw for the Papakura club:— A Grade. November 9, v. Valley at Papakura: November 1 (». v. Manurewa at Papakura: November 30, v. Mangere East at Mangere Eas't: December 14, a bye; January 11, v. Papafoetoe, at Papatoetoe: January 25, v. Clevedon, at Papakura; February 8, v.* Mangere Central at Mangere Central; February 22. v. East Tamaki at East Tamaki; March 7, v. Bucklands Beach at Papakura. B Grade. November 9, v. Valley, at Valley; November 16, v. Manurewa, at Manurewa: November 30, v. Mangere East, at Papakura: December 7, v. Pakuranga, at Pakuranga; December 14, v. Ardmore, at Papakura; January 11. v. Papatoeloe, at Papakura; January 25, v. Clevedon, at Clevedon : February 8, v. Mangere Central, at Papakura: February 22, v. East Tamaki, at Papakura: March 7. v. Bucklands Beach, at Bucklands Beach. The membership of Ihe Papakura club this season is close on 100. Already 40 new players have applied for membership, as well as 20 odd schoolmembers. The club's annual tournament entries are the largest on record, and the standard of play, especially amongst the ladies- is reported as being superior to that of last season. If the present rate of increase in membership continues the club officials will have lo consider seriously the formation of additional courts. 1
