ORPHANDOM.

PAPAKURA CLUB. SESSION OPENED. The Papakura Orphans’ Club opened its' session on Thursday evening, when there was a gathering of well over 200 members and visitors. The official visitors, President Bro. C. M. Croft, officers and members of the Auckland Orphans’ Club, were welcomed by President Bro. G. C. Hobson. Also present, were Mr J. N. Massey. M.P., and members of the Tamaki, Onehunga and Bunedin clubs. Life membership was conferred on Bro. Maxwell Walker, who was presented with his badge by the president.

Appreciated items were contributed by Bros. B. Flood, Lonergnn, B. Jury. .T. Smithson, senior and .junior. R. Muston. Duncan, Edgerton and the club orchestra under the baton of Bro. Reg. Rogers. The club bas enrolled 59 new members this season.
