THE RABBIT PEST.

NORTH TE AKAU BOARD. INSPECTOR COMMENCES WORK. The North Te Akau Rabbit Board met al Tuakau Ibis week when there were present: Messrs P. It. Sutton (chairman), K. 1,. Caldwell. E. 11. Nolan. 0. Colebaker, E. Baker. C. V. Stuart and T. B. Insoll (secretary). It was reported that the rabbit inspector (Mr G. F. Soilness) had arrived and would be taking up his duties this week.

It was also reported that a number of settlers had commenced poisoning operations on March 20, and that, the rabbits were taking to the poison very well indeed. Rabbits were still very plentiful and it would be some time before there would be any appreciable decrease.

The inspector, it was stated, would make a thorough inspection of the whole district and report to the board. Much other routine business was transacted.
