The Weather Office advised at noon: A ridge of high pressure is approaching New Zealand from the Tasman, and there is a depression over the, Western Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m. on Thursday: Light to moderate variable winds. Some isolated brief showers still likely on the coast ; otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures cool, with frosts to-night. Further outlook: Fair. -
