M. MOLOTOV’S HANDSOME TRIBUTE
NEW YORK, November 4. M. Spaalk, leading 300 United Nations’ delegates in a pilgrimage to ■ President Roosevelt’s grave, said it was a paradox that Mr Roosevelt was a greater man outside America than in it. He .declared: “Outside this country all loved Mr Roosevelt. Without him we would not have won,, the victory for freedom -and democracy. If he were alive now, his role would ,be precious He would be indispensable in the futherance of peace.’.’ M. (Molotov stopped in Mr Roosevelt’s library to read the -.'Teheran agreement, and, in a-statementolater lie declared: “ This visit is to the eternal memory of the great President,, Franklin- Roosevelt.” M.- Molotov ■ ' laid the largest- and most ; elaborate ■wreath on the grave.
