The body of the woman found - strangled in Cooper Park; Woollahra, has been identified as that of Mrs Ada Lambert, a laundress, aged 45 and the, mother of four children,- who dived apart from- her husband in thevjdistrict.' The police have established that when she was on 'her way : home from a music lesson a thief > grabbed'her .handbag and was pursued• by- young men, but escaped. A little later, residents said, she was seen following'a man who carried.a bag.'. v ' v. The police believe that she was. lured intg the park, struck on the jaw. and carried into -the bracken, where-;the body was found.- In some respects the murder is similar to the savage bill- , ing of an 11-year-old girl in Carnper-' . down cemetery last June, which is un- • solved. Other. articles of clothing belonginng to 51rs Lambert and them an have been found.
