NO AGREEMENT IN CLERKS' DISPUTE

There will be no wool sales to-mor-row because an agreement could not be reached in the dispute with the Clerks’ Union. It had been proposed to'auction Newcastle * catalogues .-.which'.' have been valued. Members of the National Council ,of Woolselling Brokers- conferred with the Sydney branch-of'‘"the union, but could reach no agreement, although union officials are still hopeful of an early settlement,. ; Union officials state-that an overseas freighter recently loaded in/Brisbane was despatched with their* consent because 90 per cent, of the wool''loaded was not under the union ban.- The 6hip Queen Adelaide is being permitted '.to load' at Netvcastle because' the union has now proof that' ! the wool is “ white.” '
