CHINA’S CIVIL WAR
LEADERS CONFER COMMUNIST PROPOSALS FOR PEACE (Rec. 10.45 a.m.) CHUNGKING, December 27.. The Government and Communist leaders conferred formally for the first time since November 17. The Communists after the meeting said they proposed: (1) An unconditional “cease fire” order by each side. (2) Peaceful settlement of all problems relating to the civil war. (3) The sending of interparty and non-partisan groups to the various fronts as observers.
