ALMOST WIPED DDT
JEWS IN GERMANY AND AUSTRIA NEW YORK, December 27. Rabbi Leo Breck, on arrival from Berlin, said that only 4,000 Jews were still alive in Germany of the 200,000 there in 1939. while in Austria there were now only 3,000, compared with 150,000 before the war. Rabbi Breck, who was imprisoned in a concentration camp from January. 1943. until May 11 of this year, said that many German-.! ewish children had found 1 refuge abroad, and the survivors were mostly elderly people.
