MAY SHIPMENTS BY UNRRA RUGBY, June 26. A report off the May operations in the European region received by the ! European Committee of Unrra showed that the total Unrra shipments for the month to Czecho-Slovakia, Greece, Poland, and Yugoslavia were 263,000 tons. The shipments planned for June and July to theso countries and Albania amount to about 698,000 tons. May shipments to Italy amounted to •57,000 tons, and the June-July programme is 16,000 tons monthly. Four hundred and twenty tons of clothing have been placed at the disposal of Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. By the end of May the westward repatriation of displaced persons was practically complete, and the eastward repatriation had been started. An interesting development during May was an offer from Sweden to care for 10.000 or more phvsically unfit displaced persons, and France offered immediate asylum ifor 500 children from Buchenwald. Four mobile feeding units were shipped to Norway during May.
