CLUE COMPETITIONS Otago Club.—Further results of matches played at Balmacewen on Saturday in the knock-out competition for the Haggitt Cup are as follows:—W. D. McKenzie beat B. V. Wright at the twenty-sixth -hole, D. M. F. McDonald beat H. J. Grayson at the twenty-second hole, J. N. Lemon beat It. F. Barr 4 and 3, A. R. Woods beat J. L. Tennent 2 and 1, H. W. Horder beat R. W. Dick 3 and 2. The best card in the monthly stroke handicap competition was returned by G. R. Hyslop 88 —16— 72. Other scores were: A. McLean 84 —11— 73, P. C. Grayson 85-10—75, F. W. Dixon 78—2—76, W. S. Stewart 83—7—76, A. E. Gardner 100—24—76, J. A. Scouler 77 —scr—77, A. F. Burnett 87—10—77, G. Groves 90—12—78, J. B. Quaile 92—14 78. G. B. P. Wilson 90—11—79, T. B. Ferguson 80—scr—80, C. R. Hedges 87—7 , 80. In a 12-a-side interclub match, the Otago Club defeated the University Club by 9 games to 3. St. Clair Club.—ln the final of the single knock-out "for the Paterson Cup, H. A. Gamble defeated F. R. Wigney 4' and 3. The matches played in the first round of the four-ball knock-out resulted as follows: —Satterthwaite and Sherriff defeated Shepherd and Aslin 4 and 3, Lahmert and Taui defeated Wren and Duff 5 and 4, Delbridge and Clayton defeated Clark and Langbein 2 and 1, Tyson and Gourley defeated Sheppard-Wilson and Bohveil 5 and Belleknowes Club.—The second qualifying rounds of the club "and junior championships for the Hay and Nees Cups were played on Saturday afternoon, when the following 16 players in each division qualified, the aggregate for the two rounds being shown:—Ciub: N. Forgie in the juniors (71 —15 —56), who won on a countback from R. F. McCiatchy (73—17—56). At the end of the third round of the stroke competition over 72 holes for the E. A. Hasell 196, J. G. Gregory 197, A. 1. Murray 198. Uhisholm Park Club.—The best cards returned in the bogey match on Saturday were: A grade—G. White 2 up; B grade—J. Dow ling 1 down. The best scores in an L.G.iU. match played by the Ladies' Club on Saturday were: Miss Laing 96—31 —65. Miss Green 110—32—78, Mrs Thomson 109— 26—83. The final of the Gorman knockout Cup was won by ■ Mrs Wood, who defeated Mrs Ayers 2 and 1. Mrs Grant defeated Miss Rhodes in the final of the Victor -Nelson Cup. Mrs Banwell and Mrs Bristow won the four-ball knock-out by defeating Mrs Grant and Mrs Ayers. The best L.G.U. cards returned on Tuesday last were: Mrs Sparrow 110—36—74, Mrs Tregear 108—32—76, Mrs Bristow 98—18— 80, Mrs Stiven 108—24—84, Mrs Grant 105—17—88. The first round of the club championship will be played to-mor-row Members not participating will play a medal round.
