"BUTTERFLY ROCKET"
GERMANS 1 HEW ANTI-AIRCRAFT WEAPON LONDON, Feb. 28. The Germans are using a new weapon called the *' butterfly rocket" . against Allied bombers, according to a Berlin spokesman, says the Stockholm correspondent of the 'Daily Express.' The spokesman said the new ' weapon, which is fired from fighters, weighs only a few pounds, and ; bad a parachute "attachment. The projectiles explode and throw red-hot splinters * "with terrific.effect." The spokesman added that thousands of butterfly rockets are being showered by German fighters during air battles.
