HOMING PIGEON CLUB

RACE FROM TIMARU The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew the final race of the 1941 young bird season from Timaru on Saturday, 100 birds from 12 lofts being freed at 11.30 a.m. in fine weather. They made a great flight, the winning bird Hying the 109 miles in 2h 3i;t-.n at a velocity of 1,565yds per minute. The results were: A. Scott’s Valma 1, M. Anderson’s Black Prince 2, J. Scoullar’s Smoke Screen 3, A. Esquilant’s Triard 4, W. Hargreave’s Leith Star 5.
